Things to do in Quarantine 2020| Free Time
Quarantine..Vacations…Post retirement days… seem quiet
different terms but all these have one thing in common. – Free time. Duration may vary based on your
plans of course.
As the saying goes by, wasted time never returns. So, it is
good to use your spare time in the best possible way.
Here are some ideas which
that might help you invest your free time. Knock!! Knock!! Disclaimer here:
Although the title says, things to do in quarantine - you may use these tips
any day during your free time
1. LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE
I know, you may now say there is no point
in learning a new language now. The evil pandemic has ruined all the travel
plans.
But, I strongly believe in one thing that nothing is permanent. The
virus is there today and it will vanish away sooner or later. So use this free
time to learn the regional language of your dream holiday destination.
A small financial tip here- Learning a new
language not only helps you with your travel plans, but can also help you with
some income. There are plenty of jobs out there for translators that indeed are
paying very well.
2. COOKING
People say that they cannot live
without internet and wifi. But trust me one thing that is far above 4G/5G/6G…
XG is food!! I know, you will agree :P
Cooking is one skill that will never go for
waste for sure.
Imagine, if some day you are lost in some place where there are
all sorts of raw material available, but no good cooks to relish your tongue.
The above scenario sound unpractical, but believe me it exists in reality. The
Paying Guests and hostels to give an example :P
So, lets use up our internet bandwidth to
google some recipes and give a small delicious and yummy break to that tempting
web series.
Learn to bake a cake, this is anytime the
best birthday cake to your loved ones.
A financial tip again, but I know you are
smart and you took the hint :P
3. NURTURE AN OLD HOBBY
Nature has gifted each and every
one of us with different types of talents.
In our day to day busy lives we have
kind of programmed ourselves to do the same routine stuff. Thereby we have
buried our interests, hobbies and talents so deep down that we need to give
some stress on our memories to recollect.
But yes, this is important. Take a
moment to recollect:
What were the things that gave you joy?
How we used to
spend our school holidays?
What was the best thing that you did in college?
I’m sure you must have thought of
something or the other or may be a stack of hobbies. Now that you have some
time, take this chance to nurture them for a while.
Hobbies can be anything singing,
dancing, acting, writing, sketching, painting, gardening, playing an
instrument, so many to pen down...
Believe me after taking out some
time for your hobbies, you’ll be at such a peace and will feel very happy
looking at your work :P
4.
HOME-DECOR
We all love to be in a beautiful
place. Isnt it?
This quarantine time, hope to make your house more beautiful.
Let’s take a moment to get a thorough
cleaning session and let your house become a wonderful ambiance.
Make use of some so-called useless
stuff to make DIY decorative items to beautify your house, make some wall
hangings, door hangings, photo frames etc.
You may invest a little time to do
some gardening -include fruits, vegetables and flowers.
Fruits and veggies will add to your
health and nutrition while, flowers will be a delight to your eyes and nose.
After all the effort, “Stay at
home” would be prettier. :)
5.
SPEND TIME WITH FRIENDS, FAMILY
Rather than wasting time to curse
the COVID-19 virus, spend time with your family and friends.
This will not only strengthen your
bonds but will also refresh your old memories.
You can laugh together at the
“serious problem” on which you spent sleepless nights during that time.
You can sit back and listen to the
stories of your parents and grandparents to get a retro- feel.
Teach them to use mobile phones and
computers and cook for them their favorite meal at times.
These were just a few ideas.
I am damn sure you would have many more brilliant ways of spending your free time.
Remember this is even useful for people who are working from home. Allocate
some time for these activities and they are sure to bring that smile on your
face.
Also, I have tried to jot down some
points which would help people working from home. Here’s the link- Click here

any suggestions are always welcome :)
Stay happy and stay safe!!
